Development of Mind Mapping-Based Learning Materials on Tawakal and Tasamuh to Improve the Mental Health of Phase D Students

Abstract

This research aims to develop mind mapping-based teaching materials  about tawakal and tasamuh to support the mental health of Phase D students at Al-Muhajirin Pinangsori Private MTs. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Four-D (4-D) development model which includes the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The development process is carried out to the Develop stage  through product design, expert validation, revision, and product trials. Research data is collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and learning evaluations. Product feasibility is assessed by material experts and media experts, while practicality and effectiveness are assessed based on students' responses after using the developed teaching materials. The results of the study show that the validation of material experts obtained a percentage of 90% with the very feasible category, while the validation of media experts obtained a percentage of 85% with the feasible category. The average product feasibility reached 87.5% with the very feasible category. The results of the practicality test obtained a percentage of 91.5% with the category of very practical, while the test results based on student responses obtained a percentage of 93.6%. Thus, mind mapping-based teaching materials  about tawakal and tasamuh were declared feasible and practical and received a positive response as an alternative to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching materials in integrating Islamic values with the psychological and social aspects of Phase D students.
